BioEnhancz™ has been investigated for its potential to reduce the hepatotoxicity of cannabidiol (through the inhibition of elevation of hepatic enzymes) which could be extended to the application of other highly hepatotoxicity of APIs, e.g. Acetaminophen (Tylenol/Paracetamol). BioEnhancz™ affects the inactivation the conversion of acetaminophen to its toxic metabolite, N-acetyl-p-benzoquinoneimine (NAPQI).
This metabolite is primarily formed by the cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) metabolic pathway when acetaminophen is administered at therapeutic doses or overdose.
The research findings indicating that BioEnhancz™ inhibits cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) which inhibits the conversion of acetaminophen to NAPQI demonstrating the potential benefits of BioEnhancz™ in reducing hepatotoxicity related APIs.
